THE UNDERTAKER
THE END GIFTS EVERLASTING REST
In Meerica City, where desire and violence thrive, death casts a perpetual shadow over the city. Unofficially, it's said that someone dies accidentally every 30 minutes here. Eleanor Ediades, known as the "Undertaker," is the premier manager of the city's funeral industry. She operates the most potent and influential funeral service company in Meerica City—unrivaled in size, facilities, quality of service, and professionalism. Her name represents endless night and the crown of death; she navigates the borders between life and death, dealing with both the living and the departed. She meticulously plans every funeral and farewell. Naturally, she can choose whom she wants to "service," and being targeted by Eleanor is not something anyone wishes for, despite the seamless perfection of her "service." Eleanor's reputation is well-known throughout the city, and discussions about her often link her to death—some avoid it, others curse it. However, it's undeniable that whenever death plays its tune, she is there to offer profound comfort to the living and proper arrangements for the deceased. Over time, people have come to regard her as the harbinger of death, perhaps because only someone from the profoundest darkness could bridge the inviolable gap between life and death. Eleanor is always seen in a black dress, a constant in her appearance. Her elegant face often wears a faint smile, her eyes revealing an unfathomable mystery; she seems forever veiled, preventing anyone from truly understanding her heart, much like her work—discreet and silent. Speculation about her identity abounds, yet no one knows her origins. What people don't expect is that behind the rites of death, Eleanor cleverly uses the hearse and coffin as covert passages for moonshine. Occasionally, as the "departed" is delivered to their final resting place and the coffin gently laid to rest, the liquor is secretly moved. Eleanor's hearse has also become the go-to for high-ranking officials and wealthy elites to acquire their drink, seizing the moment of funerals to indulge in a toast to farewell, drinking to their heart's content.
